Wait no longer politics watchers, the first day of filing for the 2022 May Primary election has come and gone and nearly all current county office holders have signed up to seek another term.
New candidates include County Attorney Brad Derifield, who is currently acting county attorney in the absence of Mike Hogan, who has been embroiled in a case of overspending funds while in office, Will Skaggs as County Coroner, a Republican who is seeking the job now held by Wes Heston. Marcus Bowen has also filed to run for Constable in District 2 on the first day.
