LAWRENCE COUNTY GRAND JURY ISSUES INDICTMENTS ON OCTOBER 14

Lawrence County Grand Jury issues indictments on October 14th. Several drug related charges were included in the indictments as well as forged $20 bills that were used at Speedway, FoodCity, The Outpost, Clark’s Pump N Shop and McDonald’s.

 

Commonwealth vs. Cody Blankenship

The Grand Jury charges that on or before March 19 through March 21, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Cody Blankenship acting alone or in complicity with Tiffany Chafin committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance.

2. Cody Blankenship acting alone or in complicity with Tiffany Chafin, committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the second degree.

3. Cody Blankenship acting alone or in complicity with Tiffany Chafin committed the offense of possession/drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of syringes, rolling papers, and a powder scoop.

4. Cody Blankenship committed the offense of theft by deception under $500 by knowingly and unlawfully obtaining property or  goods, namely incurring hotel room fees in excess of $300 at the Best Western of Louisa, Ky with the intent to deprive the facility of the $329.64.

5. Cody Blankenship acting alone or in complicity with Tiffany Chafin committed the offense of wanton endangerment in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in conduct which created a substantial danger to another, namely Sgt. Steve Wilburn with Louisa Police Department.

 

Commonwealth vs. Joshua Fetherolf

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 7, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

Joshua Fetherolf acting alone or in complicity with Sarah Booth and Larry Dixon committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of  Methamphetamine, $419.00 in cash, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine, or by trafficking in a controlled substance while having prior convictions.

Joshua Fetherolf acting alone or in complicity with Sarah Booth and Larry Dixon committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Heroin, $419.00 in cash, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the internet to traffic in that Heroin, or by trafficking in a controlled substance.

Joshua Fetherol, having been charged in the instant indictment, is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the second degree.

 

Commonwealth vs. Kenneth McKinster

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 7, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Kenneth McKinster committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Kenneth McKinster committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $500/under $1000 by knowingly and unlawfully taking a golf cart belonging to Randy Miller.

3. Kenneth Mckinster committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $500/under $1000 by knowingly and unlawfully taking a Gator brand ATV vehicle belonging to Brian Cassidy.

4. Kenneth McKinster committed the offense of criminal trespassing in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully entered and remained upon property belonging to Trevor Perry.

 

Commonwealth vs. Brian Wolford

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 21, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Brian Wolford committed the offense of criminal possession of forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully with intent to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or gorged $20 bill and passed the fraudulent or forged bill at McDonald’s of Louisa, Ky.

2. Brain Wolford, having been charged in the instant indictment, is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.

 

Commonwealth vs. Dustin Henry

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 6, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. On June 6, 2021 Dustin Henry committed the offense of criminal possession of forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully with intent to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged $20 bill and passed the fraudulent or forged bill at FoodCity in Louisa, Ky.

2. On June 15, 2021, Dustin Henry committed the offense of criminal possession of forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully using the internet to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged bill at Clark’s Pump n Shop of Lousia, Ky.

3. On June 15, 2021 Dustin Henry committed the offense of criminal possession of forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully with internet to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged $20 bill and passed the fraudulent or forged bill at The Outpost of Louisa, Ky.

 

Commonwealth vs. Amy Gantt 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 19, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Amy Gantt committed the offense of criminal possession of forged instrument in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully with intent to defraud, deceive or injure another, utters or possesses a fraudulent or forged $20 bill and passed the fraudulent or forged bill at Speedway of Louisa, Ky.

 

Commonwealth vs. Jacolbey Bills

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 2, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Jacolbey Bills committed the offense of unlawful imprisonment in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully restraining Tobitha Hedgepeth of Blaine, Ky under circumstances which exposed Ms. Hedgepeth to a risk of serious physical injury.

2. Jacolbey Bills committed the offense of wanton endangerment in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Tobitha Hedgepeth.

3. Jacolby Bills committed the offense of assault in the fourth degree by intentionally assaulting Tobitha Hedgepeth of Blaine, Ky causing physical injury.

4. Jacolbey Bills committed the offense of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle by knowingly or unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway without having permission by the registered owner of the motor vehicle.

 

Commonwealth vs. Steve Clay

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before, June 17, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Steve Clay committed the offense of fraudulent use of a credit card over $500 by knowingly and unlawfully defrauding an account registered to Verlin and Nancy Bryant of Louisa, Ky for the purpose of obtaining money or goods or anything of value, namely $2622.86 in goods or services by representing without consent of the cardholder that he was the holder of the specific card with the unauthorized purchases exceeding $500.

2. Steve Clay, having been charged in the instant indictment, is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree.

 

Commonwealth vs. Sarah Booth 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 7, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Sarah Booth acting alone or in complicity with Joshua Fetherolf and Larry Dixon committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of  Methamphetamine, $419.00 in cash, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine, or by trafficking in a controlled substance while having prior convictions.

2. Sarah Booth  acting alone or in complicity with Joshua Fetherolf  and Larry Dixon committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Heroin, $419.00 in cash, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the internet to traffic in that Heroin, or by trafficking in a controlled substance.

 

Commonwealth vs. Larry Dixon

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 7, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Larry Dixon  acting alone or in complicity with Joshua Fetherolf and Sarah Booth  committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of  Methamphetamine, $419.00 in cash, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine, or by trafficking in a controlled substance while having prior convictions.

3. Larry Dixon  acting alone or in complicity with Joshua Fetherolf  and Sarah Booth committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Heroin, $419.00 in cash, a bag full of empty individual baggies and digital scales with the internet to traffic in that Heroin, or by trafficking in a controlled substance.

 

Commonwealth vs. Stephanie Hamilton 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 28, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Stephanie Hamilton committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $500 (auto) by knowingly and unlawfully taking a 2018 Dodge Journey van owned by Angela Vanhoose of Ulysses, Ky with a value of $12,000.

2. Stephanie Hamilton committed the offense of fleeing/evading in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully disregarding signals and commands to stop given by Deputy Chase Kirk with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department with the intent to flee, avoid or elude her arrest.

 

Commonwealth vs. Robie Ramey

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 9, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Robie Ramey committed the offense of wanton endangerment in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to John and Nathaniel Ramey.

2. Robie Ramey committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth vs. Sierra Dillon

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before May 6, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Sierra Dillon committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, $300 in cash and digital scales with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine, or by trafficking in a controlled substance.

2. Sierra Dillon committed the offense trafficking Marijuana by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Marijuana packaged in numerous baggies, $300 cash, digital scales and individual baggies with the intent to traffic in that Marijuana or by trafficking in the Marijuana.

 

Commonwealth vs. Amber Ball 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 10, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Amber Ball committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth vs. Sammy Cooper 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 21, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Sammy Cooper committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to traffic in that Methamphetamine or by trafficking in Methamphetamine.

2. Sammy Cooper committed the violation of improper registration plate by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway with an improper registration plate.

 

Commonwealth vs. Lanetta Johnson 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 22, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Lanetta Johnson committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine packaged in multiple baggies and digital scales with the intent to traffic in or by trafficking in Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth vs. Sonya Fitzgerald

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 3, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Sonya Fitzgerald acting alone or in complicity with Jason Meadows and John Moore committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 3, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

2. Jason Meadows acting alone or in complicity with Sonya Fitzgerald and John Moore committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth vs. John Moore

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 3, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

3. John Moore  acting alone or in complicity with Jason Meadows and Sonya Fitzgerald committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth vs. Travis Pauley

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before July 5, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Travis Pauley committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

2. Travis Pauley committed the offense of license to be in possession by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Ky roadway without being in possession of his operator’s license.

 

Commonwealth vs. Lonnie Maynard

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 22, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. Lonnie Maunard committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Methamphetamine, cut or altered straws, glass pipes and multiple syringes with the intent to traffic in Methamphetamine.

2. Lonnie Maynard committed the violation of careless driving by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle operation upon a Ky roadway.

 

Commonwealth vs. William Blackburn

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 8, 2021 in Lawrence County, Ky that:

 

1. William Blackburn committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance.

2. William Blackburn committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a schedule II controlled substance,Heroin, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance.

 

An indictment is not proof of guilt but a charge by a grand jury that there is enough evidence to take the case to trial.
