COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Opening up the season with a loss to Paintsville was an eye opener for our team. Although we didn’t play bad and out shot Paintsville 28-8 at the end of the day they were still able to get the 2-1 win over us. We came out the next 3 games firing on all cylinders beating Greenup Co, Ashland and Shelby Valley with a combined score of 23-1. We had our game against Pikeville cancelled due to one of their players testing positive for covid and then we play Russell at home this past Thursday for another eye opening loss.”
“… I think we get better after every game but we have to find a way to balance our attack and still defend at the same time. We will get there and we are looking forward to this week’s games against Martin Co and Prestonsburg. Both of those games should be good games here at Lawrence Co.”
