Thelma Pauline (Chapman) Lycan, 92, of Louisa, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2021 at the Ashland Community Hospice House in Ashland, KY.

She was born August 13, 1929 to the late Joseph Peck and Nora (Black) Chapman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Sherman Chapman, Virgil Chapman, and Chester Paul Chapman, 3 sisters: Mary Frances Chapman, Leeta Mae Hall, and Dorothy Burnette.

Survivors include a brother James “Jay” Chapman, a sister Betty Jane Henson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Pauline accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and Served Him faithfully and lovingly throughout her life. She was a retired cook for the Lawrence County School System.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Chapman, KY with Bro. Gene Davis and Bro. Jody VanSickle officiating. Burial will follow at the Peck Cemetery in Chapman, KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Lycan and her family.
