LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – JULY 1-13, 2021

FROM 12:00 A.M. JULY 1, THRU TO 11:59 P.M. JULY 13, 2021 (13 DAYS), AT LEAST 123 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED,AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION  CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.
OUT OF THOSE 121 ARRESTS, 23 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
 
SEPARATELY, 6 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN OTHER KENTUCKY COUNTY JURISDICTIONS (3 IN JOHNSON COUNTY, 1 IN CARTER COUNTY, 1 IN GREENUP COUNTY, AND 1 IN TODD COUNTY).
 

PREVIOUSLY, FROM 12:00 A.M. JUNE 20, THRU TO 11:59 P.M. JUNE 30, 2021 (10 DAYS), AT LEAST 84 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, AND MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED, AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.

OUT OF THOSE 84 ARRESTS, 20 ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY.
 
SEPARATELY, 3 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN OTHER KENTUCKY COUNTY JURISDICTIONS (1 IN JOHNSON COUNTY, 1 IN CARTER COUNTY, AND 1 IN GREENUP COUNTY).
 
HERE ARE THE LATEST TWENTY-THREE ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALONG WITH THE SIX ARRESTED IN OTHER KENTUCKY COUNTIES, ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:

Laura Speakman, 32, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 4, 2021, at 11:00 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR; and also via an execution of a warrant from a grand jury indictment, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
 
Travis R. Pauley, 40, of Fort Gay, West Virignia; was arrested on July 5 2021, at 2:09 P.M.,by deputy Everett Chase Kirk,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with: • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION, • REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).

Monty Derefield, 46, of Columbus, Ohio; was arrested on July 5, 2021, at 2:09 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO APPEAR (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS).
 
 
Melissa D. Wolford, 33, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 5,2021,at 11:23 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE). • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
 
 
Jeremy R. Walker, 41, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 6, 2021,at 12:06 P.M., by officer Boleyn, of the Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole,and was charged with: • PAROLE VIOLATION (FOR TECHNICAL VIOLATION).

Harm R. Lemaster, 41, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 7,2021,at 12:00 A.M., by trooper Forrest Newsome, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (189A.010(1D) – 1ST  OFFENSE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Donna J. Church, 60, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 7, 2021, at 11:10 A.M., at the Lawrence County Judicial Center,by court security officer Melody Salyers,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,and was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

Kenneth McKinster, 32, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested on July 7, 2021, at 8:39 P.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000 (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS), • CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE)-[2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS], • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO TO SELL, • FAILURE TO APPEAR (3 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS),• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS
 

Jordan T. Lowe, 31, of Royal Oak, Michigan; was arrested on July 8, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., by deputy Julius Musick, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL.08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE,•DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION, • RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000.
 
 
John David Chaffin, 42, of Marysville, Ohio; was arrested on JuLy 8, 2021, at 2:41 P.M., by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence, “weekender”: • CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
 
 
Larry E. Dixon, 55, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 8, 2021, at 11:31 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk & deputy Joseph Osborne, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with via an execution of a grand jury indictment: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE). On July 9, 2021, at 12:00 A.M., Larry Dixion was additionally charged with new criminal offenses of: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN).

Sarah E. Booth, 34, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 9,2021,at 12:00 A.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,and was charged with:• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN).

Joshua D. Fetherolf, 36,of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 9,2021,at 12:00 A.M., by deputy Joseph Osborne,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON, • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN). Joshua Fetherolf also was charged with via an execution of a grand jury indictment: • RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000.

Robie Ramey, 42, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 9, 2021, at 9:53 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk,of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,&was charged with: • WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS (2 SEPARATE CHARGES COUNTS), • TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 3RD DEGREE.
 
 
John Michael Runyon, 48, of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested on July 10, 2021, at 5:55 P.M.,by an officer of the Louisa Police Department,& was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

John W. Rowe, 61, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 10,2021,at 8:06 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO WEAR SEATBELTS, • RECKLESS DRIVING, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE.


James Ethan Lowe, 24, of Allen City,Kentucky; was arrested on July 11, 2021, at 5:43 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • NO REGISTRATION PLATES, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES).

Sonya Fitzgerald, 32, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested on July 12, 2021, at 2:47 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with via an execution of a grand jury indictment warrant: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).

Kayla Nicole Bowens, 37, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on July 13, 2021, at 3:58 P.M., by Chief Greg Fugitt, of the Louisa Police Department, & was charged with: • PROBATION VIOLATION (FOR FELONY OFFENSE).
 
 
Amity Rae Hinkle, 31, of Rush, Kentucky; was arrested on July 13, 2021, at 3:30 P.M., by deputy Tyler Laney of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

William Glenn Cantrell, 31,of Louisa,Kentucky; was taken into custody in Todd County, Ky., on July 9, 2021, at 7:00 P.M., at the Todd County Detention Center, and was charged with: *CHARGES UNKNOWN.
 
Nicholas T. Hackney, 31, of Adams, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on July 13,2021, at 4:05 P.M., by an officer of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

    Also, if you have dope on you, or are on dope, don’t drive the holler mobile to town. Or maybe not be tweeking at the courthouse. Common sense people. Seriously. Your own stupidity is what’s getting you arrested.

    It’s so sad, all these people are getting arrested multiple times for the same offenses. Not paying fines. The courts should make these people do community service & clean up the place. Fix stuff that’s broken, put them to work!!
