Mrs. Anna J. Atkinson, 89, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Anna was born January 7, 1932 in Louisa, KY to the late Curtis and Lillian (Ewing) Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Atkinson; daughter Tracy Atkinson; and brother Charles Jones.
Anna is survived by her daughter Terry Hudnell; grandchildren Heath and Heather; great grandchildren Alexandria and Ethan; brothers Bill (Sherry) Jones and Fred Jones; and caregiver and longtime friend Ramona (Brian) Preston.
The family would like to thank Dr. Workman, Dr. Fairchild, The Jordan Center, Hospice, and the entire City of Louisa for all the love and care that has been shown.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tammy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at from 12:00 PM until time of service at the First United Methodist Church.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Atkinson and her family.
I love Mrs Anna and her daughter Tracy was a special friend of mind in school. We lived by them for many years and she will be missed! Such a sweet family, all of them, from her dad and sister Terry too!
So sorry to hear. I loved this lady, her daughter Terri and I went to Louisa High School together and graduated in 1973. I also liked her uncle’s and her Dad were such kind people. Blessing and prayers.
