James David Kitchen, 71 of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Twin Branch, Lawrence County, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

James was born on July 12, 1949 to the late Birdie Mae and James William Kitchen.  James was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Carol and his loving wife of 43 years, Sheila Yvonne Kitchen.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Connie (Bryan) Pfeifer of Jacksonville, Florida, his sons, James, II (Katrina) of Perry, Michigan, Roy (Shelly) Kitchen of Groveport, Ohio, and Robert (Jenny) Kitchen of Columbus, Ohio.   James was blessed with eleven grandchildren, Cassidy (Andrew), Bryan, II, Kyle (Melissa), Benjamin, Bailey, Bradley (Makenzie), Hannah, Ashley, Monica, Raychel and Arthur, and with ten great grandchildren.

A celebration of James’ life will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Fannin officiating.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Kitchen and his family.
