KY GOP Statement Commemorating Juneteenth

Frankfort, KY – Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman Mac Brown released the following statement commemorating Juneteenth:

“In celebration of Juneteenth, we join with Kentuckians of all backgrounds in commemorating the end of slavery in America. Our Commonwealth is proud to be the birthplace of President Abraham Lincoln, who began the end of slavery in our country with the Emancipation Proclamation. By celebrating the final end of slavery that is marked by Juneteenth, we remind each other to continue working every day to build an even stronger foundation for justice in our society.” – Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman Mac Brown
