All Martin County Schools employees received a nice vacation bonus this year as Superintendent Larry James and the Board of Education approved a $2,000 bonus for them this summer.

Here is the email sent to employees this week:

“…In a tremendous gesture to show Martin County School Employees how much our Board of Education appreciates everything you do for the students of Martin County, they approved a one time stipend of $2,000 to each full time certified and classified employee that completed his / her contract for the 2020-21 school year.

The $ 2,000 will be included in the June 25 payroll deposit. I hope you have a great summer and I look forward to seeing you on July 23, Opening Day!!!

If you see your board member, you might want to thank him / her to show your appreciation as well. We are very blessed to have such a great board who works extremely hard for the students and staff of Martin County.

Thank you,

Larry

Maybe they can donate it to the water dept. This is laughable. Time to lower taxes if they just give it away. How do these clowns get elected?

maybe you should thank a taxpayer, who might be struggling…tell them how much you appreciate them (not that we don’t appreciate our teachers and staff, but the School Board doesn’t pay the bills)….just saying…
