Bryce Blevins was a perfect 8-0 in 2021 with a 0.30 earned run average.

Louisa, Ky — Lawrence Co. Senior to be and University of Kentucky baseball commit Bryce Blevins earns 15th Region player of the year and First team All State.

Blevins was a perfect 8-0 on the season and helped the Dawgs to a 29-7 record and runner up finish in the 15th Region tournament.

Blevins threw 47 innings on the mound and allowed only five runs with two of those earned, he gave 20 hits, struck out 91 and walked only one batter all season.

Blevins was also great at first base and at the plate with a .500 batting average with 27 runs batted in.

Lawrence Co. Head Coach Travis Feltner

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Bryce Blevins is a one of a kind combination of great talent, great work ethic, and the most fierce competitor that I believe I’ve coached.”

“… Loves to win but hates to lose possibly even more. He and I share that same type mind set in my opinion, Bryce could’ve grown up in the 80s.”

“… The 2021 season for him beats all that I have seen a kid do. Put up great numbers offensively and video game type numbers on the mound. I have no way of predicting what his future past HS will be- but at our level he is as good or better than I’ve seen.

“…He told me as soon as the game was over Monday night- that next year will be different and won’t end that way and he said it with true conviction.

“…His accolades this year are beyond well deserved.”
