Prestonsburg, Ky. – The MAC will produce the inaugural Appalachian Strings & Things on July 2-3 at Jenny Wiley Amphitheater. It’s described as a mix of old, new, traditional, and progressive Bluegrass music, with some acoustic stylings thrown in. The music festival is being presented with help from Prestonsburg Tourism and Floyd County Tourism.

On Friday July 2, the headliner will be industry veterans Mountain Heart. Also on the bill that night will be multiple IBMA award winners Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley. Saturday, July 3 includes Sideline and rising Kentucky based band Wolfpen Branch.

For full lineup info and more information, check out the MAC, Jenny Wiley Amphitheater’s, and Appalachian Strings & Things social media pages. Ticket prices start at $30. To purchase log onto www.macarts.com, call 888-MAC-ARTS, or stop by the Box Office.

The Mountain Arts Center is the premier performing arts venue in eastern Kentucky.  Located in the heart of the bloodline of the Country Music Highway, the facility features a 1,046-seat auditorium, conference/meeting facilities, instruction rooms and a state-of-the-art recording studio.  For more information, call 1-888-MAC-ARTS or visit macarts.com.
