DAWGS WRAP UP REGULAR SEASON WITH 25-6 RECORD, FELTNER NOTCHES 300TH VICTORY

Louisa, Ky — Senior Jacob Fletcher singled home Ryan Marcum and Lawrence Co. ( 25-6 ) won a wild 15-14 contest over Greenup Co. ( 16-18 ) in the final regular season home game of the year.

Bryce Blevins presents the game ball from the victory over Raceland it was Head Coach Travis Feltner’s 300th career win.

Nick Collinsworth went 4-4 and hit for the cycle as the Bulldogs pounded out 18 hits in the victory.

Brayden Maynard collected three hits including a triple and drove in three runs, Ethan Whitt had three hits and one RBI, Bryce Blevins singled twice and drove in two runs, Jacob Fletcher had two hits and drove in a run, Will Lafferty had two hits, Abner Collinsworth singled.

#2 Jake Derifield gave up three earned runs in his 3 and 2/3 innings in relief to get the win.

Belfry 9 Lawrence Co. 8 ( Wednesday )

The Pirates scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to get the home victory.

Bryce Blevins and Jake Derifield collected three hits and drove in a run each, Blue Fletcher had two hits including a double, Brayden Maynard singled twice, Nick Collinsworth singled and had two RBIs, 8th Grader Eli Fletcher doubled, Jacob Fletcher singled.

Seventh Grader Braxton Davis took the loss in his varsity debut.

Pikeville 9 Lawrence Co. 8 ( Monday )

The Dawgs blew an 8-1 lead and lost for the first time at Randy Keeton Field this season.

Will Lafferty and Bryce Blevins collected two hits and two RBIs each, Ethan Whitt homered and drove in two runs, Blue Fletcher doubled and drove in a run, Brayden Maynard singled and drove in a run, Jacob Fletcher and Abner Collinsworth both singled.

Jacob Fletcher slides home safely in the last home game of his career.

Blue Fletcher pitched well giving up only one earned run. Talon Pollock took the loss giving up one earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.

Lawrence Co. 3 Raceland 0 ( Saturday )

Bulldog Head Coach Travis Feltner picked up his 300th win in the home victory over the Rams.

Bryce Blevins was brilliant once again in a battle of the top teams in the 15th and 16th Regions at Randy Keeton Field.

Blevins struck out 13 Rams and only allowed two hits in seven innings to get the win. He also singled and drove in a run to help his cause.

Ethan Whitt hit a solo home run, Nick Collinsworth singled and drove in a run, Brayden Maynard singled and scored a run, Abner Collinsworth singled and Will Lafferty scored a run.

#1 seed Lawrence Co. will open up 58th District play Saturday morning at Stonecrest Park versus #4 seed Betsy Layne. First Pitch will be at 11:00 AM

#2 Prestonsburg will face #3 Floyd Central at 2:00 on Saturday afternoon.

Championship game set for 6:00 on Monday evening.

    You would think more wouldn’t been written up on Nicholas Collinsworth for doing the cycle. I know when the other boy did the cycle at less his picture was up.
