FORT GAY, WEST VIRGINIA COUPLE ARE ARRESTED FOR SELLING DRUGS AT LOUISA WALMART

BOTH SUSPECTS HAD WARRANTS FOR TRAFFICKING COCAINE, HEROIN AND METHAMPHETAMINE

 


STORE PHARMACISTS OF THE CRIMINAL KIND: RODNEY K. ROBERSON, 43, AND SAMANTHA THOMPSON, 31, BOTH FROM FORT GAY, W.VA, WERE ARRESTED FOR TRAFFICKING AT THE WALMART IN LOUISA SATURDAY EVENING.

 

LOUISA, Ky. — A man and woman from Wayne County, West Virginia have been arrested for allegedly dealing drugs at the Louisa Walmart early Saturday evening.

The alleged drug dealing duo, identified as Rodney K. Robertson, 43, and Samantha J. Thompson, 31, both of Fort Gay, West Virginia; were taken into custody by deputy Everett Chase Kirk of the Lawrence County Sheriff Deaprtment.

Deputies say they made contact with the couple inside the store when Rodney Robertson fled from them. He was apprehended outside the front doors of the store after a short pursuit.

Samantha Thompson was later located hiding in the garden center of the Walmart store.

Both Rodeny Robertson and Samatha Thompson also had outstanding indictment warrants for trafficking cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine in Lawrence County; coming from Robertson being arrested on June 4, 2020; and Thompson being arrested on JUly 16, 2020.

Rodney Robertson was charged in the Walmart incident with:

  • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, 1ST DEGREE,
  • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (ON FOOT),
  • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY),
  • IMPORTING HEROIN (2 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES),
  • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
  • TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,
  • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 4 GRAMS COCAINE).

Samantha Thompson was charged with:

  • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
  • TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,
  • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 4 GRAMS COCAINE).

Both Rodney K. Robertson, Samantha J. Thompson were later transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.

    Straight to ARC like all the rest without punishment. I’m all for 2nd chances….got one myself many years ago and I ran with it and never looked back while thanking God every step of the way, but these repeat offenders are another issue.
