Lawrence Co. Girls basketball on a three game road winning streak

Naugatuck, W.Va. — Lawrence Co. ( 15-9 ) won their third consecutive road game with a 62-53 victory over Tug Valley ( 1-1 ) Friday night.

Kensley Feltner scored 77 points in three road wins for the Lady Bulldogs last week.

Kensley Feltner led the victors with 31 points, Sophie Adkins hit 3 three pointers and finished with 10 points, Abby Nelson scored 9 points, Ellie Webb hit 2 three pointers and tallied 7 points, Kaison Ward and Tyra Hammond chipped in with 2 points each, Kyleah Ward scored 1 point.

The Dawgs hit 5 three pointers and went 12 of 26 from the foul line.

Tug Valley was led by Makayla May with 18 points, Kayla Baisden finished with 15 points, Alyssa Newsome 9 points, Audrey Evans 6 points, Autumn Hall 5 points.

The Panthers hit 2 three pointers and went 17 of 26 from the foul line.

LCHS 9 23 6 24 = 62
TVHS 11 5 22 15 = 53

Lawrence Co. 52 Elliott Co. 39 ( Thursday )

The Bulldogs made the trek to Sandy Hook and came away with the road victory.

Kensley Feltner led the way with 23 points including 2 three pointers, Kyleah Ward scored 8 points, Ellie Webb and Sophie Adkins hit 2 three pointers each and finished with 6 points each, Kaison Ward 5 points, Tyra Hammond and Abby Nelson 2 points each.

Lawrence Co. hit 6 three pointers and went 4 of 6 from the foul line.

Elliott Co. ( 4-8 ) was led by Abby Adkins with 17 points, Maleigh McDaniel and Harley Locklear 7 points each, Rylee Sturgill 4 points, Natalie Sturgill and Kailey Hamilton 2 points each.

ECHS 10 11 9 9 = 39

Lawrence Co. 67 Rose Hill 59 ( Tuesday )

Lawrence Co. kicked off a four game road trip with a victory over the Royals ( 16-10 ).

Kensley Feltner led the way with 23 points, Sophie Adkins finished with 17 points, Kyleah Ward tallied 9 points, Kaison Ward 7 points, Abby Nelson 4 points, Ellie Webb 3 points, Emily Artrip 2 points, Tyra Hammond 1 point.

The Dawgs hit 4 three pointers and went 16 of 24 from the line.

Rose Hill was led by Bellamee Sparks with 28 points, Gabby Karle 16 points, Baylee Trimble 9 points, Jewelia Vankuran 6 points.

LCHS 18 15 19 13 = 67
RHCS 16 9 12 21 = 59

The Dawgs will travel to Morgan Co. tonight before hosting Tug Valley on Wednesday night.

“… Been a rough but great week for our girls. They’ve batted and competed and are starting to figure some things out. We have one more week of regular season games left to prepare us for post season play. We look for forward to this week with Morgan Co. Tug Valley and Martin Co. to close out our regular season. We’re thankful and excited.”
