The body of an adult woman was found mid-day Tuesday in the Lovely area, according to Martin County 911 dispatchers.
Martin County Coroner Chris Todd reported to local news media outlets that the body of a 40-year-old female was found inside a ditch along Route 292, in the Riverfront Road area. The coroner says a passerby discovered the body Tuesday afternoon.

The body is now on the way to Louisville for an autopsy at the Kentucky State Police Forensic Laboratory.
Other detail, including the identity of the deceased individual, and the nature of how the person died, were unavailable from Coroner Chris Todd.
