Carl Irvin Ratliff, 78, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his home.

Carl was born December 15, 1942 in Huddy, KY to the late Okie and Erma Lucille (Dean) Ratlliff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Okie Darrell Ratliff; sister Letha Presley; and brothers in law Bennie Morgan and Ray Evans.

Carl was a member of the Fort Gay Bartram Cemetery Board and was a retired assistant foreman for the railroad.

Survivors include his wife Joann Ratliff; children Martha (David) Wellman, Richard (Tammy) Ratliff, Franklin (Susan) Ratliff, and Jackie (Kayla) Ratliff; grandchildren Chanda (John) Cassidy, Jackson Ratliff, Felicity Ratliff, Josh (Tori) Ratliff, and John Ratliff; great grandchildren Peyton, Eastyn, Bentlee, Keegan, Amayah, Aubree, Cayson, and Rylie; and his sisters Joan Morgan, Teresa Ratliff, Louvanda Evans, and Barbara (Everett) Spicer.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fort Gay Bartram Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Ratliff and his family.
