John Martin Moore, 69, of Fallsburg, KY went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2021 at King’s Daughters Medical Center while surrounded by loved ones.

He was born to Dorothy Schwinn and Dewey Moore in Newport News, VA on June 17th, 1951.

He is the youngest brother to Edward Dewey and William Robert Moore. He was a loving father and provided the best childhood for his children.

He is survived by Crickett Moore, his children James (Christy) Moore, and Alicia Dawn Moore. John also leaves behind three wonderful grandchildren, Allyson Mae Moore, Joseph Martin Moore, and Alex Cain Cartmel, as well as many friends and extended family members.

He joined the union in 1973, the same week his daughter was born. He worked as a boilermaker for 33 years, retiring in 2006. He traveled the world with his job and loved every minute of it. He always made sure he was home for special ball games and other school events. He will be forever missed by his children, grandchildren, family, and his many friends.

He was ready to go wherever Jesus took him and he went on to say that he loves us all. His last words were “Tell everybody I love them, and I will talk to them later!”

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Desmond Bassett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ball Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

The care of Mr. Moore has been entrusted to Young Funeral Home of Louisa, KY.
