Lowell Gene Maynard, 57, of Louisa, born October 10, 1963 to the late Gallie and Clara (Wright) Maynard, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2020 at the Ashland Community Hospice House.

Lowell was Pastor of the Moore’s Chapel Church in Louisa for many years and will be deeply missed by his beloved church family. He was a Carpenter by trade and enjoyed being outdoors building and working on projects. His wife of 37 years, Connie (Caudill) Maynard and Lowell cherished spending time with their children and grandchildren and watching Western movies when time allowed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Gallie Michael Maynard.

Survivors include his wife Connie Maynard; two sons Lowell “Justin” (Brianna) Maynard and Derek Austin (Shelby) Maynard; three grandchildren that he loved dearly Gage, Skylyn, and Alex Zavier Maynard and one more grandchild that is on the way. Additional survivors include three sisters Laverne Gilliam, Nadina Maynard, and Patricia Crittendon, brother Ken Maynard, along with a host of many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Family Cemetery in Louisa.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday from noon until the time of service.

Young Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of these services for the Maynard family.
