Dixie Hedrick 65, of Rock house Road, Tomahawk, KY; went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Hazard A.R.H. Hospital in Hazard, KY.

She was born on April 12, 1955 on Rock House in Tomahawk, KY; she was a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Anderson Spence. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joanie Hedrick and son, Edgar Lee Hedrick as well as her siblings; Sherman Spence, Wade “BB” Spence, and Vern Anderson. Dixie was a Christian and a housewife.

Dixie is survived by her spouse of 48 years, Arthur Hedrick of Tomahawk, KY as well as her son, Johnathan (Whitney) Hedrick of Turkey Creek, Inez, KY. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as her siblings; Orie Spence of Tomahawk, KY, Mary Lou Hedrick of Tomahawk, KY, Senie Preston of Paintsville, KY, and Helen Spence of Lawrence County, KY and numerous extended family and friends. Dixie also leaves behind a friend who was more like a sister to her, Linda Sumpter.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Hedrick Cemetery of Tomahawk, KY with Joe Mullins officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm til 1:00pm with services and burial to follow. The family asks to make donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Dixie Hedrick.
