Dawgs lose QB and Russell game, Will now open the season vs. Class A Power Pikeville September 25th

Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. Football was hit with a double whammy after finding out one of their coaches tested positive for COVID-19 and things were shut down for 14 days. Coaches then received news that two starters including their starting QB were transferring to the mountain state and would be enrolling at Class AAA powerhouse Cabell Midland.

Senior QB Baden Gillispie along with his brother, Sophomore Kaden, will be playing for the Knights this upcoming season. The pair played some youth football at Milton when they were in grade school and will be suiting up with former teammates at the high school level.
The Dawgs will return to practice on September the 8th and will now officially open the season at defending Class A champion Pikeville on September the 25th.
Lawrence Co. is down to seven games and will be looking for a new quarterback when they return to practice next week.

*Thursday October 1st at Magoffin Co.
*Friday October 9th vs Pike Co. Central
*Friday October 16th vs Belfry
*Friday October 23rd at Floyd Co. Central
Friday October 30th vs Raceland
Friday November 6th at Rowan Co.
