Addiction Recovery Care’s newest facility, Creekside, located in Knott county has had a total of 5 positive Covid-19 cases over the last few days with 2 clients and 3 employees testing positive.

Matt Brown, Addiction Recovery Care Senior Vice President of Administration, reported that everyone who has tested positive is showing mild to no symptoms and no hospitalizations have been required.

Addiction Recovery Care continues to check all employee temperatures and fill out a self-report every day when they report to work.  Clients are tested daily with temperatures as well, Brown said.

“The facility is taking extra precautions to protect those within the facility,”  Matt Brown said.

“MCHC out of Whitesburg has brought their mobile testing unit to Creekside so all clients and employees will be tested because we want to know how many positive cases we have and we want to begin acting immediately.”

“We had one facility out of our 30 that have had a positive case so we are accepting patients in our other facilities and if anybody wants to get help, we are still available,”

Brown is recently recovering from having Covid-19 himself and was asymptomatic and has been off of isolation since Monday.
