Bimbo Gearles

On Saturday morning around 4 a.m., Dennis ‘Bimbo’ Gearles, 60, went missing. He had been fishing on the Tug Fork River on his boat with two other men when it struck a log and capsized.

The other two men swam safely to shore but Bimbo did not make it. His family immediately started a search and rescue.

His body was found and recovered on Saturday the 25th, many were involved in the search and rescue. This happened around the Thacker area in West Virginia.

Police state that an autopsy is not scheduled, as foul play is not suspected. His family has set up A Go Fund Me, to help them pay for the funeral. Donique Mitchem is organizing this fundraiser.

You can contact Donique through FB, or send/take the money directly to Hatfield’s Funeral Home in Belfry, KY.
