MARTIN COUNTY ARREST LIST – JULY 10-17, 2020

HERE ARE THE NAMES AND CHARGES OF THE LATEST TWENTY-THREE (23) PEOPLE ARRESTED AND WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY (20 ‘OFFENDERS’, 3 ‘WEEKENDERS’) IN MARTIN COUNTY OR ANY MARTIN COUNTY CITIZENS ARRESTED BY A POLICE AGENCY IN NEIGHBORING JURISDICTIONS:

Amanda R. Mills, 36, of Lovely, Kentucky; was arrested on July 10, 2020, at 12:43 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

According to the arrest report, deputy Laffferty wrote that he had received a complaint that Amanda Mills was severely intoxicated on the side of the road in Inez. Once deputy Lafferty located Amanda Mills, he further wrote in the arrest report that Amanda Mills was as he stated it “the subject was speaking out of her head and could not stay still.”

Besides the public intox charge, deputy Lafferty wrote he also discovered Amada Mills was wanted on an active court bench warrant out of Pike County.

Eddie Anthony Patrick Jr., 21, of Louisa, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County, Ky., on July 11, 2020, at 1:24 A.M., by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

According to the arrest report, deputy David Adams wrote that Eddie A. Patrick was a passenger in a vehicle in which the driver was arrested for DUI, and that Eddie Patrick had slurred speech & glossy, bloodshot eyes, and that Eddie Patrick admitted to deputy Lafferty that he had smoked marijuana.

Robert Earl Stone, 20, of Louisa,Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County,Ky.,on July 11,2020,at 1:28 A.M., by deputy David Adams,of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • RECKLESS DRIVING, • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER /INFLUENCE ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 2ND OFFENSE.

According to the arrest report, deputy David Adams wrote that while he was patrolling, he made a traffic stop on Robert Earl Stone, due to as deputy Adams wrote in quoted about Stone was ” driving all over the road, crossing the center line three times and the fog line four times, within approximately a quarter of a mile.”

According to deputy Adams, Robert Earl Stone had slurred speech and glossy eyes, and could not follow simple directions; in which deputy Adams further wrote Robert Earl Stone showed several signs of impairment while using his arms for balance and placing his foot down for balance on heel-to-toe.

Deputy Adams wrote in the conclusion of the arrest report that Robert Earl Stone admitted to him he had taking Adderall, and that Stone refused to take a blood test.

 

Michael Wayne Farley, 42, of Inez,Kentucky; was arrested on July 12, 2020, at 12:17 A.M.,by Constable Tony Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 2, and was charged with:

• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE),

• RESISTING ARREST,

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 1ST DEGREE,

• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (NO VISIBLE INJURY),

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

According to the arrest report, Constable Tony Preece received a complaint that there was a physical altercation at the IGA parking lot in Warfield, and that as he arrived at the scene, there were subjects arguing in the parking lot.

Besides the criminal charges levied on Michael Wayne Farley for the incident at the Warfield IGA parking lot, Constable Tony Preece also served Michael Wayne Farley with a bench warrant from Martin County District Court.

Kristin Slone, 24, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on July 13, 2020, at 12:07 P.M.,by Constable Brad Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 4, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

Donald York, 57, of Beauty, Kentucky; was arrested on July 14, 2020, at 4:46 A.M., by trooper Ryan Hale, of the Kentucky State Police, Post 9-Pikeville, Ky., and was charged with:

• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

Robbie Prater, 39, of Stopover, Kentucky; was arrested in Martin County,Ky.,on July 14,2020,at 11:41 A.M.,by deputy Paul McCoy,of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

Martin L. Gillispie, 46, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; was arrested on July 14, 2020, at 9:05 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OZ.) 1ST OFFENSE,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,

• POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON,

• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.

Skyler Harmon, 21, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on July 14, 2020, at 9:06 P.M., by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER /$10,000.

William Messer, 31, of Warfield, Kentucky; was arrested on July 14, 2020, at 9:10 P.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATION LICENSE.

Robbie J. Blevins, 26, of Warfield, Kentucky; was arrested on July 14,2020, at 11:42 P.M., by sergeant  Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, & was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,

• FAILURE TO SURRENDER REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE,

• FAILURE TO SURRENDER SUSPENDED/REVOKED CCDW LICENSE.

Kody Harless, 21, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on July 15, 2020, at 12:33 P.M., by court security officer Melody Salyers, & was charged with, via a grand jury:

• TRAFFICKING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE WITHIN 1,000 FEET OF SCHOOL,

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

Melinda Mullins, 29, of Crum, West Virginia; was arrested on July 15, 2020, at 1:22 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department,and was charged with:

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• GIVING OFFICER FALSE IDENTIFYING INFORMATION,

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $500 OR MORE BUT U/$10,000

 

James Eric Collins, 38, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on July 15, 2020, at 10:09 P.M., by trooper Dustin Thompson, of the Kentucky State Police, Post 9-Pikeville, Ky., & was charged with:

• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS,

• DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE,

• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,

• OPERATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ ETC. .08 (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES), 2ND OFFENSE.

 

Amanda Lynn Kirk, 43, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; was arrested on July 16, 2020, at 1:16 A.M.,by Constable Tony Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 2, & was charged with:

• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE.

Brittney D. Collins, 27, of West Liberty,Kentucky; was arrested on July 16,2020,at 1:19 A.M.,by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).

Ricky Shane Pauley, 27, of Pilgrim,Kentucky; was arrested on July 16, 2020, at 1:30 A.M.,by Constable Brad Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 4, & was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE,

• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE)-[3 SEPARATE COUNTS CHARGES],

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS (5 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES),

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)-[2 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES],

• RESISTING ARREST (2 SEPARATE COUNT CHARGES),

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (DRUG UNSPECIFIED).

Bobby J. Farmer, 43, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; was arrested on July 16, 2020, at 1:42 A.M., by Constable Tony Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 2, & was charged with:

• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE,

• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).

Paul D. Smith, 37, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on July 16, 2020, at 2:01 P.M., by deputy William Tyler Lafferty, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

John Wade Cline, 51, of Tomahawk,Kentucky; was arrested on July 17,2020, at 12:07 A.M., by deputy David Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,

• OPERATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

• FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

George Carter Jr., 29, of Warfield, Kentucky; was taken into custody on July 16, 2020, at 11:41 A.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence, “weekender”:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.

Casey Ervin Webb, 33, of Inez, Kentucky; was taken into custody on July 16, 2020, at 6:00 P.M., by the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, In Paintsville, Ky.,, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence, “weekender”:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
