Louisa Chapter DAR Salutes the nation’s birth

This handmade queen size quilt is being raffled off for $1 a ticket.

The Louisa Chapter DAR is selling tickets for a chance to win a beautiful handmade Queen sized quilt in the nation’s colors. The tickets for the quilt are $1.00 each, 6 tickets for $5.00 or 12 tickets for $10.00.

Louisa DAR also has on hand  Vol.1 and Volumes 2 of ‘Veterans of Lawrence County’ Books. These books have photos with information about our Lawrence County Veterans. They are $40.00 each.

In addition they have CD’s for sale of “Louisa, KY in the movies”, a 1939-1940 history and pictures of Louisa, KY. The cost for the CD’s are $10.00 each. They have Daughters of the American Revolution 2020 calendars reduced to $5.00 each. To purchase any of the above items contact Lynn Courtney ( Regent) at (606) 638-9413.

Louisa DAR has an Indian Display in the Lawrence County courthouse lobby, owned by DAR member Lynette Chaffin. (See pics below)

The DAR bi- monthly meetings are tentatively set to start back  August 25 at the First Baptist Church, if permitted, following the Covid-19 rules and regulations.
