MARTIN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE

6/29/2020

The MCHD has been notified that we have two new cases of Covid-19 within our county.

Over the weekend two new cases where identified as a 20-year-old female and a 38-year-old male.

At this time the 20-year-old female is asymptomatic and the 38-year-old male is symptomatic. Both of these individuals are in isolation at home as is the policy. At this time, we do not know if either case is related to travel.

As per HIPPA guidelines we are not able to release any more information about these individuals for their privacy. Please continue to follow guidelines that have been given, such as social distancing, wearing masks, and washing hands frequently. For additional guidelines please visit the kycovid19.ky.gov and our facebook page.

At this time the county has 3 cases recovered, 1 case from last week that is sheltering at home and these 2 new cases that are sheltering at home.
