(LEX 18) — A new report finds Kentucky’s workforce is among the states experiencing the slowest recovery from COVID-19.

WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on changes in unemployment insurance initial claims. Kentucky was ranked 47 out of 51 when it comes to states recovering the quickest since last week.

The report also found that Kentucky is one of the states that has recovered the least since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, ranking the state 49 out of 51. It says Kentucky has seen a 3,471.90% change in unemployment claims since March when compared to last year’s numbers.

Can anyone really be surprised by this. The governor doesn’t want KY to recover. At least not until after the election. Maybe not even then. He loves the power this has given him!!
