LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – MAY 26-JUNE 14, 2020

FROM MAY 26 THRU TO JUNE 14, (20 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN A TOTAL OF 91 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.

13 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. ONE OF THOSE ARRESTS ORIGINALLY CAME VIA BOYD COUNTY, AND WAS LATER A PRISONER TRANSPORT TO THE BSRDC IN PAINTSVILLE.

SEPARATELY, 4 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES (2 IN BOYD COUNTY AND 1 IN GREENUP COUNTY, & 1 WAS LODGED IN CARTER COUNTY DETENTION CENTER BY US MARSHALS FROM WEST VIRGINIA).

PREVIOUSLY, FROM MAY 12-25, (13 DAYS) THERE HAVE BEEN A TOTAL OF 43 PEOPLE ARRESTED FROM JOHNSON, LAWRENCE, MAGOFFIN, & MARTIN COUNTIES COMBINED AND WERE BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE. 6 OF THOSE ARRESTS WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. SEPARATELY, 2 LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS & 1 FORT GAY, WEST VIRGINIA RESIDENT WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN NEIGHBORING BOYD COUNTY .

AS OF 6:00 A.M., MONDAY JUNE 15, THERE WERE 134 INMATES BEING HOUSED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE.

HERE ARE THE LATEST THIRTEEN ARRESTED IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALONG WITH THE FOUR OUT OF COUNTY ARRESTED:

Joseph B. Hylton, 37, of Martha, Kentucky; was arrested on May 27, 2020, at 7:33 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.

Homer Hale, 40, of Louisa, was arrested on May 27, 2020, at 5:50 P.M., by Trooper Sergeant, John M. Gabbard,of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with:

• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE,

• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-3RD DEGREE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY U/$500

Jason T. Pack, 35, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was transported from the Boyd County Detention Center, in Catlettsburg, Ky., and was taken to and was lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville, Ky., in Johnson County, Ky., on June 9, 2020, at 3:19 P.M.,to the and was charged with:

• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY); via a warrant out of Lawrence County, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department..Jason T. Pack, was originally arrested in Boyd County, on May 19, 2020, at 9:16 P.M., by officer George of the Ashland Police department, and was charged with:

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),

• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY).

Carlos Scott Hammond, 36, of Louisa, was arrested on June 1, 2020, at 8:19 P.M., by officer Greg Powers, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).

April L. Meeks, 40, of Louisa, was arrested on June 3, 2020, at 11:22 P.M., by the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/ DRUGS /ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD,

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1& 2).

Brian Howell, 40, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on June 3, 2020, at 11:23 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),

• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,

• PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL),

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

Rodney K. Robertson, 42, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on June 4, 2020, at 2:05 A.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),

•TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,

• IMPORTING HEROIN:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 4 GRAMS COCAINE),

Joshua Ray, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on June 5,2020, at 1:27 A.M.,by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department,&was charged with:

• REAR LICENSE NOT ILLUMINATED,

• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,

• FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE /SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (HEROIN), • POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA.

Jason Maynard, 27, of Louisa, was arrested on June 6, 2020, at 2:17 A.M.,by detective Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department,& was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.

Carl E. Marcum, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on June 11, 2020, at 11:41 A.M., by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, & was charged with:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF – (< 10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2), • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER II.

Bethla F. Stump, 38, of Louisa, was arrested on June 12, 2020, at 10:41 P.M., by deputy Everett Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE).

Timothy S. Harper, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on June 13, 2020, at 8:28 P.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT).

Kenneth McKinster, 31, of Louisa, was arrested on June 14, 2020, at 9:52 P.M., by Trooper Forrest Newsome, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND DEGREE (ON FOOT).

James R. Arthur, 49, of Louisa, was transported to Carter County Detention Center on June 3, 2020, at 11:11 A.M., by the U.S. Marshal Service-West Virginia (USMSWV), for the process of:

• FEDERAL PRISONER HELD-IN TRANSIT/COURT/SERVEOUT.

Jamie Nicole Hardy, 39, of Louisa, was arrested in Greenup County, on June 6, 2020, at 10:22 P.M., by an officer of the Worthington Police Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,

• LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION,

• PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE,

• FAILURE OF OWNER TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE,

• NO TAIL LAMPS.

Charles D. Perkins, 28, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, on June 14, 2020, at 10:04 A.M., by officer Jon McCormick, of the Ashland Police department, and was charged with:

• SERVING PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND OFFENSE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.

 

Jasmine Mullins, 23, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County, on June 14, 2020, at 11:15 A.M.,by officer Jeremy Bararda, of the Ashland Police department, and was charged with:

• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $10,000 OR MORE,

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 2ND Offense  – DRUG UNSPECIFIED.
