The Republican Party of Kentucky held its first-ever online state convention last weekend, with grassroots GOP leaders from across the state electing delegates and alternates to the 2020 Republican National Convention, as well as a slate of electors for the Electoral College following this year’s presidential election.

Among those elected was attorney Patrick Flannery, a former local prosecutor and current Republican candidate for 96th District State Representative (Carter and Lawrence counties).

“Our first-ever online state convention was a great success, and I am proud of how our grassroots leaders and activists came together with unprecedented enthusiasm and participation,” Republican Party of Kentucky Chairman Mac Brown said.

“Republican leadership is successfully guiding our state and country through unprecedented challenges, and our team is ready to deliver yet another historic year of victory for the Kentucky GOP.”

“I am honored to have been elected by my fellow Republicans to be part of the group that has the privilege to represent Kentucky at the Republican National Convention in support of our great President Donald J. Trump,” Flannery said.

“I’m a Trump Conservative, and I’m proud of it.  I’m confident we’re going to re-elect President Trump, Senator McConnell, Congressman Rogers, and our entire Republican ticket this fall.”

The delegates and alternates selected this weekend will participate in the 2020 Republican National Convention later this year.  The state convention also selected a slate of electors who will participate in the Electoral College following this year’s presidential election.

Patrick Flannery? You got to be kidding! The biggest crook in Cater Co is running for office? Again? He’s lucky we didn’t lynch him last time! Does he think he can sneak in under the radar? WE ALL KNOW WHO HE IS! What audacity!
