The warrants stemmed from a lengthy investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit in the Lavalette area where Dorothy was found to be in possession of a distribution quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, scales, and baggies.

The Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit has received numerous tips that Dorothy was selling Methamphetamine in the Spring Valley, Rt 75, and Lavalette area.

During the stop, officers observed Dorothy stuff items into her pants that was later discovered to be a distribution quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine.

Gary Cassidy, of Lavalette, was also arrested after more Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Suboxone were found. Baggies and digital scales were also located in the vehicle.

The WV State Police arrested both suspects and filed criminal complaints for additional felony and misdemeanors.
