Still no official word on Drivers License Exams

Update from Circuit clerk regarding the reopening of the facility and drivers license exams.:

“There is still no official word on a reopening plan or date as of today (Friday, May 8).,” Clerk Jody Parsley stated.  “Assumptions have been made that the date could be June but no official word from the Chief Justice has been received at this time.”

“Driver exams are given by the KSP and  they haven’t given a plan for that yet either. ”

The Governor is the one who has to lift the hold on issuing Driver’s License issuance and nothing from him yet either.”

Minton will issue plan for reopening of the court system this week.

“As Kentucky begins to gradually reopen business, the courts must prepare to do the same,” Chief Justice Minton said in an email to the justices, judges, circuit court clerks and court personnel who serve the Judicial Branch. “Although in-person services are suspended until May 31, our next priority is a reopening plan that respects social distancing while allowing greater access to the courts. Please note that this will be a limited, phased approach to ensure the health and safety of our court family and the public.”
