ALLEGED PIKE COUNTY HEROIN DEALERS JOSHUA MARION  & CHARITY J. WORKMAN

A Pike County couple was charged over this past weekend with allegedly dealing heroin.

According to Pike County court documents, Joshua Marion, 33, and Charity Workman, 28, both of Ky. 292 at Aflex, were arrested Saturday evening, April 25, along U.S. 119. after Kentucky State Police had received an anonymous tip about possible heroin dealing in the Appalachian Plaza at South Williamson.

According to the arrest report in the court documents, the responding KSP trooper made a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description given in the anonymous tip. The trooper wrote in court documents that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Joshua Marion, “appeared to be extremely nervous.” The trooper also wrote that when Joshua Marion exited his vehicle, a “small glass jar” was located with a “white/tan colored powdery substance” that Joshua Marion identified as being heroin.

The trooper wrote that he searched the vehicle and located a case in the back seat that contained cash and a working set of scales. Joshua Marion allegedly told the trooper that the case belonged to him and Ms. Workman. Charity Workman, court documents said, was contacted by the trooper and she allegedly stated that she and Marion had been selling heroin to support their addiction habit. Workman also told the trooper that Marion had worked for the money found during the search of Marian’s vehicle and that it was not profit from illegal drug trade.

The trooper wrote that during the traffic stop, Joshua Marion received a text from a known heroin addict who indicated Joshua Marian and the known addict were “making cash” by the Walmart in South Williamson. The trooper also wrote that Joshua Marion also received several missed calls from a known heroin dealer.

Johsua Marion was charged with:

Charity J. Workman was charged with:

Both of them were taken to and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center in Pikeville and ordered held on $2,000 full cash bonds each.
