Three Lady Bulldogs land on All Area team

Pikeville, Ky — Three Lawrence Co. Lady Bulldogs were named to the Mountain Top Sports All Area team recently after winning a District title for the first time this past season. The team is made up of players from the 14th and 15th Regions.

Brooke Neal, Lexi Ratliff, Kensley Feltner

LCHS Freshman Kensley Feltner who averaged 22.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest was named to the first team, Senior Lexi Ratliff averaged 14.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest was named to the second team, Freshman Brooke Neal was named Special Honorable Mention after averaging 8.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

 

Belfry High School’s Katie Ball was dominate all season long. She averaged 22.7 points per game (ppg.) and 14.5 rebounds (rpg.) in helping the Lady Pirates advance to the 15th Region tournament.

Her dominance on the court has earned her Mountain Top Sports’ Player of the Year honors.

She leads an outstanding group of ladies who were instrumental in their teams on-court performances this past season.

Martin County’s Madison Thompson was named captain of the first team. She scored 18.8 ppg. and pulled down 13.7 rpg.

Pikeville eighth-grader Trinity Rowe was selected captain of the second team after helping lead the Lady Panthers back to the Sweet 16 for the second straight year.

Letcher Central’s Brooklynn Collins was chosen captain of the third team.
Pikeville head coach Kristy Ward Orem was named coach of the year after guiding her team back to Rupp Arena for the second straight year.
