LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY AFTER ALLEGEDLY ROBBING GAS STATION, THAT WAS WITHIN SHORT WALKING DISTANCE DOWN THE ROAD FROM HIS HOME

SUSPECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY A LITTLE OVER 12 HOURS AFTER THE ARMED HOLDUP

JANUARY 22, 2020 – written by WADE QUEEN

ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT DONALD D. ADAMS.

LOUISA, KY. — A Louisa man was arrested and was charged on late Tuesday morning in connection with an armed robbery of a gas station convenience store just outside of Louisa, according to the Kentucky State Police.

On scene, the employees of Case Mart gave a description and video footage of the incident.

Donald D. Adams, 48, of Louisa, is charged with ROBBERY, 1ST DEGREE, according to KSP troopers investigating the criminal incident case.

Police say the robbery happened Monday evening at the Case Mart gas station, which is located on Route 3 North, near the intersection of Route 1185, just over two miles outside Louisa.

After reviewing surveillance footage, troopers said a search warrant was obtained for Donald Adams’ home, where troopers stated they found Donald Adams.  In somewhat of a surprise twist, just happened to be less than a couple of hindered yards from the convenience store he had robbed the day before..

Donald Adams was transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, where he remains in custody.

This incident remains under investigation by Trooper Bradley Couch. Trooper Couch was assisted on scene by Detectives and other State Police personnel.

HaHa…another vocal sheriff supporter arrested. Just keeps showing the caliber and type people who wanted a buddy in that position. Fortunately for citizens the state police are still working in the county. Keeps getting better.

Haha so we should take what you are saying about our sheriff seriously..The caliber and type of people that voted for him..No respect for our sheriff .by the way Jackson Won with how many votes over your guy.? fortunately the citizens of lawrence co voted him in that’s how it works the majority wins.

      • Fallsburg Citizen says:

Haha..guess you need to read the statement again. It is in reference to this individual as well as numerous others who openly supported the new sheriff as well as bashed the other guy. Yes he may have won by x amount of votes over the other guy but look what you got. A guy who is all about being buddy and not wanting to do or require his guys to do law enforcement anymore. Programs are not going to fix the issues with the drugs and thieves. You have to enforce the laws when needed and not just buddy up to them and say don’t do that again. Hear lots of discussion about how even ones who voted for him are disappointed and can’t get anything done now. But hey that is what the MAJORITY voted for and WHAT they got now. Sure do see state police having to do more in Lawrence County now….sad!! Amazing how people support one over the other when family has been cut breaks by one but not the other. Good Luck!!

          You’re way too funny.

last I checked the new sheriff has done a lot more than in the past year than Garett ever done for Lawrence county. also him supporting chuck Jackson has nothing to do with it considering felons can’t vote.

          • Trying to understand says:

You are hilarious!! What has new sheriff done in the last year? He sure didn’t do much when he was a deputy and now he doesn’t do much or expect his deputies to do much. Garrett brought the sheriffs office from hardly having equipment, cars and deputies to always having good vehicles to get around and had more deputies then they ever had. Remember the days when Garrett took over when he was working the roads and covering shift even on weekends and nights. You were able to get ahold of him because his number was in the book and he would give his cell phone number out. Sure don’t see that out of the “new sheriff”. When he is off have no way of getting him. Garrett was a do what needed to be done for the people and new one is hey I’ll draw a check and do as little as I can. Well even the felons or the one who are going to be out committing crimes can influence the other voters by making stuff up because other officers arrested them or family. I can tell you this Lawrence County got fooled the last election!!! Then again Lawrence County never has really wanted law enforcement. They act like they do until them or their family is in trouble and then they are like come on buddy help us out. Guess what the next 3 years will be full of that and he will help them to get votes just like he already did.

          • Yep says:

I’d like to know what Garrett did in the last 8 years, it’s like he held the title and sat at a desk.

Hey fallsburg citizen.. maybe you should run for sheriff? You seem to know the solution to the problem. I mean Garrett Roberts was clearly racking it up 🤣

          • Good One says:

Maybe I should. Might not have all the solutions but I can tell you being a buddy to everyone isn’t the way to go. Need law enforcement and we sure don’t have that now. At least Garrett has some who would work and do what they are paid to do. Wish new sheriff would put out comparison numbers from this year and years past so we as voters can see. Don’t figure he will!!

Fallsburg citizen, don’t be stupid, The Sheriff did nothing wrong, just because the State Police are working the case!

      • Fallsburg Citizen says:

Didn’t say he did anything wrong. Would have had to do something before he can be wrong.

If fallsburg citizen would ask KSP they would tell her that the Sheriff was there also.

        • Fallsburg Citizen says:

No doubt he was just like he always is so he can ride another agencies coattails. He is good for pawning things off to KSP or others. Must have never learned how to work the big cases before so why start now. Turned out to be a big disappointment.

Something is off here. It doesn’t add up. A man like Donald doesn’t just decide one day that he should rob a store. Especially one right next to him where people know him. What happened that led him to do this?

I can honestl,y say I hope and pray no one close to me makes that choice. I hope no one close to you does either. It affects every family in our area.

  11. Concerned Blaine Citizen says:

ADDICTION IS A GENETIC DISEASE! YOUR GENES ARE INHERITED. HOW IS THAT A CHOICE?
OF THOSE AFFECTED, SOME HAVE STRONGER WILLPOWER THAN OTHERS TO FIGHT THE DISEASE (WHICH IS LARGELY BASED ON THEIR PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCES), BUT EITHER WAY, IT IS A CONTINUOUS FIGHT THEY WILL BATTLE EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR THEIR ENTIRE LIFETIME. SOME MORE THAN OTHERS, OF COURSE, BUT IT NEVER JUST GOES AWAY.

I’M SORRY, BUT IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY TO HEAR PEOPLE SAY IT’S JUST THEIR CHOICE TO BE LIKE THIS. JUST BECAUSE IT MAY LOOK THAT WAY FROM YOUR POINT OF VIEW, DOES NOT MEAN THAT’S HOW IT ACTUALLY IS.

PEOPLE BATTLE THE DISEASE OF ADDICTION IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS,AND CAN EXPERIENCE IT IN MANY DIFFERENT PHASES THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFETIME. SOME OF THESE PHASES MAY BE GOOD AND THEN LATER THEY CAN TURN BAD. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY MADE THE CHOICE FOR IT TO BE THAT WAY. SOME DAYS, OR YEARS, THEY MAY FEEL STRONGER OR HAVE MORE SUPPORT FROM OTHERS.

THE POINT IS, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT KIND OF BATTLE SOMEONE ELSE IS FIGHTING. DON’T BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE AND DISCRIMINATE. OFFER A HELPING HAND INSTEAD. THAT COULD BE ALL THEY NEED IS A BIT OF COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING TO HELP THEM FIGHT HARDER THAT DAY.

ADDICTION IS A DISEASE THAT IS PASSED ON FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION. IT IS A CONSTANT BATTLE FOR MOST THAT EXPERIENCE IT. IT TAKES ON MANY DIFFERENT FORMS. IT’S NOT JUST DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. IT CAN BE FOOD, NICOTINE, CAFFEINE, MONEY, SEX, SHOPPING, OR A MILLION OTHER THINGS!

AS A MATTER OF FACT, I CAN JUST ABOUT GUARANTEE THAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE SOME FORM OF IT YOURSELF! SO IF YOU INSIST ON BEING SO QUICK TO JUDGE INSTEAD OF OFFERING HELP, AT LEAST START BY JUDGING YOURSELF FIRST, BECAUSE THAT REALLY IS “JUST A CHOICE!”

    • Joe Friday says:

You stated an opinion a$$hole, nothing more. You used capital letters, and said the same thing over and over, so that makes your opinion more valid than mine? You show your wife and yourself having a cry fest, so somehow this makes your opinion right? Then to close your idiotic statement out, you accuse me of having a drug problem? WOW! I do not. If all you say is true, where was this “sickness” 40 years ago? Did Louisa have a heroin and meth epidemic 40 years ago? Narcotics? NO IT DIDNT, how did this sickness develop? is it a virus, is it in the water? It was by CHOICE. It’s always been a choice, and always will be, not one damn thing more.

  12. Citizen says:

Lol. I love how the Adm. commented the report, umm here you go people now shut up lol. This is like “Louisa News” I like reading some of the articles depending on the authors, but really like the comments. People are sooo funny, and dramatic.

As far as law enforcement goes around here, we don’t have law enforcement like we use to have. And I think a lot of people know that regardless who the sheriff is. Not taking up for the man but don’t have nothing to say about him either. People show you their true intentions every day, but people are too blind to notice.

That isn’t Citizen, so I have to wonder? Does his opinion of the Lazer play any part? I notice since I debated on tax with them, my posts get removed, last three in a row as a matter of fact. I admit I sometimes go a bit to far. I would just like to ask the Lazer to (censor) what goes over and allow our First Amendment right to express our self.
