COACH’S COMMENTS
“… On Thursday night we came out red hot against a really good Tug Valley team. We took an early lead and they battled back made a run and tied the game with us. We were able to gain our composure on the road in a tough environment and come away with the win. Very proud of how our girls finished this game.”
“… In the 2A on Saturday we started out well and had a good lead then ran into some foul trouble that made us change the way we wanted to play and we struggled to get into a groove. Give credit to a solid Belfry team. They have a 6”2 post player that we really struggled to score on. We missed wide open layups even when she wasn’t around us. She definitely affected how we played. We are disappointed but we have to learn from our breakdowns and get ready for district play.”
“… We play Prestonsburg on Tuesday and they are a solid team that can cause trouble with their pressure defense. We have to regroup and get ready to play. These district games are very important so we have to rebound from Saturday’s loss with a win on Tuesday.”
