Orie Chaffin, 81, of Webbville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 27, 2019 at his home.
Orie was born October 9, 1938 in Louisa, KY to the late Ora D. and Myrtle (Kitchen) Chaffin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Hazel Mae Chaffin; brother Howard Ray Chaffin; and sister Isa Bille Chaffin.
Orie was a 50 year member of Apperson Masonic Lodge #195 F. & A.M. He retired from the Lawrence County Garage and loved to work on his farm.
Survivors include his sister and brother in law Patricia and Elwood Young; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special great niece Brandy (Kelly) Young; and special great great niece Penelope “Squirrel” Ratliff.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Chaffin Cemetery in Webbville.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 after 4:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be conducted on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Chaffin and his family.
