Lawrence County Grand Jury Indictments

Friday the 13th didn’t slow  the Grand Jury down as they handed out a total of 24 indictments from organized crime to  trafficking, possession, and theft!

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Skylar Raie Woodring

 

The Grand Jury charges that from March 1, 2019 through September 1, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of engaging in organized crime by knowingly and unlawfully committing or conspiring or attempting to commit or acting as an accomplice in the commission of the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) in the first degree on a  continuing basis with four or more of the following individuals: Nicholas May and Darin Lee Conley.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Nicholas A. May

 

The Grand Jury charges that from March 1, 2019 through September 1, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of engaging in organized crime by knowingly and unlawfully committing or conspiring or attempting to commit, or acting as an accomplice in the commission of the offense trafficking in a controlled substance (Methamphetamine ) in the first degree on a continuing basis with four or more of the following individuals: Darin Lee Conley and Skylar Woodring.

 

The defendant having been charged in the instant indictment with the above stated felony count(s) is now being charged as a persistent felony offender in the first degree. The defendant has previously been convicted of 2 prior felonies when he was at least 18 years of age.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Darin Lee Conley

 

The Grand Jury charges that from March 1, 2019 through September 1, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of engaging in organized crime by knowingly and unlawfully committing or conspiring or attempting to commit, or acting as an accomplice in the commission of the offense trafficking in a controlled substance (Methamphetamine ) in the first degree on a continuing basis with four or more of the following individuals: Nicholas and Skylar Woodring.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Willie Green

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before November 14, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of tampering with physical evidence by knowingly and unlawfully destroying, removing, altering or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine) in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance.

The above named defendant committed the offense of use/possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a syringe.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of driving under the influence, suspended license, first offense by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

The above named defendant committed the violation of no clearance lights by knowingly and unlawfully failing to have working clearance lights on a motor vehicle he was in physical control of operating upon a Kentucky roadway.

 

The above named defendant committed the violation of inadequate silencer by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway with an inadequate silencer.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Vitaud Morissett 

 

The Grand Jury charges that from on or about October 29, 2018 through a period ending on January 4, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.00 by knowingly and unlawfully taking $36,632.00 from Irene Romans of Louisa, Ky.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Barbara Jean Berrymore

 

The Grand Jury charges that from on or about December 3, 2019 through a period ending on December 5, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking under $10,000.00 by knowingly and unlawfully taking $731.55 from Mr. Thomas Stacy of Louisa, Ky.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Michael Woods 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or about November 20, 2018 through January 3, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking by knowingly and unlawfully taking in excess of $6,500.00 from an account managed and assigned to the Lawrence County Rescue Squad.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Vina McCormick

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 26, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of approximately 9 grams of Methamphetamine, multiple baggies and $423.00 in cash, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance namely Methamphetamine.

 

The above named defendant committed the violation of reckless driving by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway in a reckless manner.

The above named defendant committed the violation of inadequate silencer by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway without the proper silencing device.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation by knowingly and unlawfully failure to properly notify the Department of Transportation of an address change.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Carlos Scott Hammond

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 9. 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly or unlawfully being in the possession of 11 grams of Methamphetamine in the excess of 2 grams,  digital scales, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Clyde E. Pack

  

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 24, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Shanna E. Newsome

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 19, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Lillian Perry committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of .054 grams of Methamphetamine, and multiple small plastic baggies, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine.

 

The above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Littlian Perry committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of 42 dosage units of Clonazepam, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Clonazepam.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Lillian Perry

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 19, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Shanna Newsome committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of .054 grams of Methamphetamine, and multiple small plastic baggies, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine.

 

The above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Shanna Newsome  committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of 42 dosage units of Clonazepam, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Clonazepam.

 

The above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Shanna Newsome committed the offense of possession/use drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of an altered aluminum can, altered to be used as a pipe.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Jason B. Butcher

 

The Grand Jury charges that on September 9, 2017 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of criminal possession of a forged instrument  by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a forged prescription of controlled substance, namely Suboxone.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Cody M. Blankenship 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 21, 2019 through a period ending on October 21, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Tiffany Chafin and Bret M. Thomas committed the offense of theft of identity by knowingly and unlawfully possess or use any former or current identifying information on another, namely one Mr. Delbert Dixon of Ironton, Oh along with biometric information such as date of birth, and social security number, with the intent to represent themselves as the other person.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of fraudulent use of a credit card more that $500.00 < $10,000.00 by knowingly and unlawfully obtaining money, goods, services, or anything else of value by representing without consent of the cardholder that he/she is the holder of a specified card, namely a credit card registered to Mr. Delbert Dixon of Ironton, Oh with the intent to defraud the cardholder of an amount exceeding $500.00

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Bret M. Thomas 

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 21, 2019 through a period ending on October 21, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant acting alone or in complicity with Tiffany Chafin and Cody M. Commonwealth of Ky vs. Tiara A. Curry

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 28, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of assault in the third degree by assaulting or attempting to assault Sgt. Steve Wilburn with the Louisa Police Department while acting in his official capacity.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of resisting arrest by knowingly and unlawfully disregarding Sgt. Steven Wilburn with the Louisa Police Department’s verbal commands while preventing the officer while working in his official capacity from placing the defendant under arrest.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of disorderly conduct in the second degree by knowingly and unlawfully engaging in violent or threatening behavior in a public place with the intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, and/or alarm.

The above named defendant committed the violation of criminal trespass in the third degree by knowingly and unlawfully entering and remaining in a dwelling.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Tiara A. Curry

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 11, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of receiving stolen property under $10,000.00 by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a 2016 Ford Taurus, with a value of $15,7000 stolen from Glockner Auto of Ashland, Ky.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of receiving stolen property under $500.00 by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a set of dealer keys for a 2010 Ford F150, with a value under $500.00 stolen from Glockner Auto of Ashland, Ky.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Tabitha Jude

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 24, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first offense by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of 2.1 grams of Methamphetamine a controlled substance, and a set of digital scales with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely 2.1 grams of Methamphetamine.

 

The above named defendant, committed the offense of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of .507 grams of Heroin, and a set of digital scales, with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance or by trafficking in a controlled substance, namely Heroin.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of Marijuanan by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of Marijuanaa.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Clarence J. Harless

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 10th, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Methamphetamine.

 

The above named defendant committed the violation of no/expired registration plates by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway with improper registration plates.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Lashea Nicole Hudnall

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or about January 1, 2015 through a period ending on July 31, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking by knowingly and unlawfully taking or obtaining $138,425.00 worth of movable property owned by TRMC of Louisa, Ky with the intent to benefit oneself or another not entitled to.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking by knowingly and unlawfully taking or obtaining $149,344.75 worth of movable property owned by TRMC of Louisa, Ky with the intent to benefit oneself or another not entitled to.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking by knowingly and unlawfully taking or obtaining $144,333.05 worth of movable property owned by TRMC of Louisa, kY with the intent to benefit oneself or another not entitled to.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking  by knowingly and unlawfully taking or obtaining $84,573.65 worth of movable property owned by TRMC of Louisa, Ky with the intent to benefit oneself or another not entitled to.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking by knowingly and unlawfully taking or obtaining $58,663.37 worth of movable property owned by TRMC of Louisa, Ky with the intent to benefit oneself or another not entitled to.

 

The Commonwealth of Ky vs. Anthony Chapman

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before June 21, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of importing Heroin by knowingly and unlawfully transporting any quantity of Heroin into the Commonwealth by any means with the intent to sell or distribute the Heroin.

 

The above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, Heroin.

 

Commonwealth of Ky vs. Roger J. Hylton

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before August 2, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, fourth offense within 10 years by operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate that motor vehicle, while having three previous convictions.

 

The above named defendant committed the violation of careless driving by knowingly and unlawfully being in physical control of a motor vehicle upon a Kentucky roadway in a careless manner without regard for the safety and convenience of pedestrians and other vehicles upon the roadway.

 

Then the above named defendant committed the violation of failure to produce insurance cards by knowingly and unlawfully failing to provide or produce a vehicle securities insurance validation card.

 

The above named defendant committed the violation of no/expired registration receipt by knowingly and unlawfully operating a motor vehicle without proper registration plates.

 

The Commonwealth of Ky vs. Jodi L. Price

 

The Grand Jury charges that on or before October 17, 2019 in Lawrence County, Ky the above named defendant committed the offense of assault in the second degree knowingly and unlawfully cause physical injury to Donna Church of Louisa, Ky by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

    Sure is interesting Woods got indicted when another person involved with theft from their fire department was charged in 2017. Then after he was served the County Attorney gave him 8 months to pay back close to same amount Woods is accused of taking. Wonder if there might not be another motive for county to indict one and not other. Then again Lawrence County is known for some dirty deeds. May be Lazer can do some checking and compare cases and keep us informed.
