TAPESTRY OF OLD FT. GAY HIGH PRESENTED TO COUNCIL AT MEETING

Robert and Rhonda Compton, Jamie Frasher, Greg Cavins, Lee Kitts, Ralph Dent, Sheila Bowen and Mayor Hatfield.

Tuesday December 3, 2019, the city of Fort Gay held their City Council Meeting. This consists of the Mayor Joetta Hatfield, recorder Sheila Bowen and council members Lee Kitts, Greg Cavins, Ralph Dent, William Thompson ( not present due to previous obligations) and Jamie Frasher.

Also attending the meeting was Robert Thompson (House of Delegates and a big supporter of Fort Gay), Danny Sartin (Board of Directors of the Ft. Gay High School Alumni Assn.), Joe Bowen (Fort Gay Chief of Police and deputy), Larry Britt ( Police Judge) and Trey Morrone (town of Fort Gay Attorney).   Robert and Rhonda Compton (Fort Gay High School Alumni Assn.).

Robert and Rhonda Compton presented the Tapestry to Mayor Joetta Hatfield.

 A lovely Tapestry made and donated by Melinda Plymale Stees to the Fort Gay Alumni Association, to sell tickets on for use in fund raising to support the Fort Gay High School Memorial Scholarship.

The winners of the Tapestry were Robert and Rhonda Compton. They presented it to Mayor Joetta Hatfield during the meeting, to be displayed at City Hall.
