Buckley’s Creek, Ky — After falling 48-35 at #2 seed Pike Co. Central ( 7-3, 3-1 ) on October 11th the Bulldogs vowed to get back to work and earn another shot at the Hawks and that will come tonight as #3 seed Lawrence Co. ( 4-6, 2-2 ) will hit the road for the first round of the Class 3A State Playoffs.

LC QB Baden Gillispie shown here against Pike Co. Central on his way for a touchdown to opening up the scoring.

The last meeting was a shootout and tonight shouldn’t be any different even though the weather will be very cold at kickoff. The two teams are explosive running the football and both have a hard time stopping the run.

The Dawgs are averaging 26 points per game and allowing 34 points a game. They have rushed for 2,624 yards and passed for 258 yards entering the playoffs.

They are led by Junior QB Baden Gillispie with 1,096 yards on 141 attempts and scored 23 touchdowns he has also thrown 4 touchdown passes plus returned an interception for a score.

Sophomore Blue Fletcher has 583 on 83 attempts and scored twice, Senior Trevor Young 399 yards on 88 attempts and two scores, Senior Brandon Fitch 276 yards on 31 attempts and three touchdowns.

# 13 Blue Fletcher is the second leading rusher for the Bulldogs this season.
