‘Third Thursday in the Park’ includes magic and plenty of good eats

Cathi Kise Wells shows some of the “goodies” on sale at Third Thursday in the park this week.

The Lawrence County Tourism Committee & The Lawrence Co. Library hosted a fun filled evening at the Main Park in Louisa KY. as part of the ‘Third Thursday’ schedule.

The Lawrence County Library sponsored Mark Comley a magician who performed”Death Came Knocking”, along with magic show. He was very entertaining and spooky!

Local musician Dustin Hoover entertained the crowd with his music, sponsored by the Lawrence County Tourism Committee.

Lillie Vinson was on hand with the Kentucky cedar replicas on sale by the Vinson Center

The Fred Vinson Museum and Welcome Center had various homemade goodies for sale. They are selling tickets for a wooden state of KY plaque. It is made of KY Cedar Wood. This was donated by Bob Wells. It is beautiful! Stop by The Fred Vinson Welcome Center (315 Madison Street, Louisa, KY) to purchase tickets for this item. They are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

The Lawrence County Trail and Tourism Committee had a table set up with free crafts for everyone. They also had goodies for sale. Coffee and Hot Cocoa was available free to the crowd. It was a very fun evening!

Join them next week Saturday, Oct. 26th for ‘Nightmare in the Square’.

This year’s ‘Nightmare in the Square’ will Feature: Food, concessions, Lemonade sales/ Hotdog Stand/ Live Music Balloonists & Hayride/with a Costume contest & treats.

The activities will start at 4 p.m. and last till 9 p.m. This is a community event, open to the public!
