Gary L. Hicks 66 of Roe Creek passed away Thursday October 10, 2019 at his home following a brief illness.

Gary was born September 18, 1953 in Louisa, KY the son of the late Ossie and Viola Hill Hicks. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his loving wife Birdie Jobe Hicks; two sons James L. (Tammy) Hicks and Christopher (Jessie) Hicks; two brothers Lester and Lawrence Hicks; five sisters Virginia Sammons, Shirley Davis, Charlotte Slone, Evelyn Rice, and Sylvia Campbell; and four grandchildren Nelson, Sonny, Paige, and Harper.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Oct. 12, at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks Family Cemetery on Roe Creek.

Friends may visit the family on Friday Oct. 11, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
