Wondering if there will be a demonstration with K9 Chloe which was promised to the Sheriff’s Office and citizens last September. Would have figured she would have hit the streets by now.
Think it was Cleo and was promised to the citizens by the new Sheriff and a man who was donating it to sheriff Dept. Wonder where she is? Best I remember Jackson boasted about being ensured by that man he would donate a fully trained. Matter of fact believe it went something like this “Since November 2017, from the time I filed to run as a candidate for the position of Lawrence County Sheriff, Tim Southern of King Southern Kennels ensures me of a donation for a fully trained top notch K-9 Officer if I were elected Sheriff. Tim Southern and I are excited to introduce you to Cleo. She is 16 months old, from the Czech Republic, and is a fully trained, drug and tracking K-9 unit. If elected as your Sheriff, I will be VERY excited to add Cleo as one more tool in the drug interdiction program I plan to establish. I can’t thank Tibm Southern and King Southern Kennels enough for their amazing donation if I am elected”. Well here we are a year after that promise and almost 10 months into the term and no Cleo as promised and not much on the interdiction program. Hopefully Lawrence County wakes up by next election and sees through all the unfulfilled promises and politics.
