HERE ARE THE NAMES & CHARGES OF 18 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN MARTIN COUNTY, OR ANY MARTIN COUNTY CITIZENS ARRESTED BY A POLICE AGENCY IN NEIGHBORING JURISDICTIONS:
Bryan K. Bowens, 33, of Warfield, Kentucky; was arrested on August 14, 2019, at 4:03 P.M., by constable Tony Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 2, and was charged with: 
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Clint Edward Marcum, 36, of Kermit,West Virginia; was arrested in on August 14, 2019, at 6:28 A.M., by constable Tony Preece, of the Martin County Constable Office-District 2, and was charged with: 
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
 
Billy Bowens, 59, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 14, 2019, at 6:38 P.M., by Sheriff John H. Kirk of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
 
John R. Jude, 23, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on August 14, 2019, at 11:05 P.M., by  deputy Aaron Blevins, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,
• NO REGISTRATION PLATES, 
• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, 
• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, 
• FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, 
• LICENSE PLATE NOT LEGIBLE,
• FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
• HINDERING PROSECUTION OR APPREHENSION-2ND DEGREE, 
• FAILURE TO REGISTER TRANSFER OF MOTOR VEHICLE.
Amanda Gale Preston, 35, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 15, 2019, at 1:53 A.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES) 1ST OFFENSE, 
•  POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), 
•  POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, 
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED, 
• PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE, 
• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, 
• IMPROPER EQUIPMENT.
Gregory L. Scott, 34, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 15, 2019, at 1:58 A.M., by deputy Aaron Blevins, the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
 • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), 
• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, 
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, 
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 3RD DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED, 
• PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT PROPER CONTAINER 1ST OFFENSE, 
• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS.

John Albert Preston, 38, of Warfield, Kentucky; was arrested on August 15, 2019, at 1:58 A.M., by deputy Lafferty, the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT

Jonathan Andrew Spence, 32, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested in Johnson County on August 15, 2019, at 12:30 P.M., by deputy Scott Hazlette of the Johnson County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), 
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Rush O. Fraley, 43, of Tomahawk,Kentucky; was arrested on August 16,2019,at 10:02 P.M.,by trooper Joseph Weddington, of the Kentucky State Police, Post 9-Pikeville, and was charged with: 
• SERVING PAROLE VIOLATION WARRANT.
Jamie Lee Daniel, 30, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 16, 2019, at 10:24 P.M., by the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE).
Casey C. Booth, 22, of Tomahawk,Kentucky; was arrested on August 17,2019, at 2:42 A.M., by deputy Aaron Blevins, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
 • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.
 
Christopher Lynn Maynard, 34, of Inez, Kentucky; was arrested on August 17, 2019, at 7:03 P.M., by deputy Adams, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, 
• IMPROPER REGISTRATION PLATE, 
• NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, 
• RESISTING ARREST, 
• FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD.
 
Darlene Kitts, 44, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 19, 2019, at 5:28 P.M., by Sheriff John H. Kirk of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT, 
• FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
Joe Blackburn, 48, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; was arrested on August 19, 2019, at 10:54 P.M., by deputy Aaron Blevins, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY).
Bobby Jude, 37, of Pilgrim, Kentucky; was arrested on August 19, 2019, at 11:00 P.M., by deputy Aaron Blevins, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (MINOR INJURY).
 
 
 
Tommy Fletcher Jr., 32, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on August 20, 2019, at 3:01 P.M., by deputy Tesco, of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: 
• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

Lisa C. Booth, 42, of Fort Gay,West Virginia; was taken into custody on August 20, 2019, at 2:51 P.M., in Martin County Court, by the Martin County Sheriff Department, to serve a guilty plea jail sentence: 
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
