Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that while doing drug interdiction work the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit made a traffic stop on a vehicle William ‘Willie’ Cook, of Fort Gay, was in and Willie gave indicators that he was transporting contraband in his person.
Sheriff Thompson stated that Cook removed a container of a distribution quantity of Heroin from his anal cavity. He is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver.
William was currently on bond from another investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit in January. A large quantity of Heroin was found in the engine compartment then.
