THREE FROM LAWRENCE CO. HELP W.VA TEAM TO 8U WORLD SERIES RUNNER UP

Johnson City, Tn — Three Lawrence Youth Softball players were instrumental for the West Virginia Dusters 8U travel team who finished Runner Up in the Future Stars of Sports World Series Tournament over the weekend.

Lawrence Co. Girls Lexi Crum, Jada Patton and Addalyn Woods
The Dusters went 8-2 and won 6 straight fighting their way out of the losers bracket and fell just short of the ultimate prize.
From Lawrence Co. Jada Patton, Addalyn Woods, Lexi Crum. From Boyd County Jadyn Goad, Elyn Simpkins, M’kinzi Kouns, Kaylee May. From Ohio Kylee Jo Collins, From West Virginia Savannah Merritt, Jerica Noe, Austyn Childs, Bristol Tiller.

Making World Series All tournament team was Jada Patton from Lawrence Co. Elyn Simpkins, Jadyn Goad and Savannah Merritt.

The Lawrence Co. youngsters on the team were Lexi Crum, Jada Patton and Addalyn Woods and all three were tremendous for the Dusters this season who finished 46-17 on the year.

They played in 13 tournaments in 5 different states and finished with 4 championships and were runner up 5 times. They played a very tough schedule including the number 3 ranked team nationally in USSSA ratings. They beat teams from Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky.
