ALMOST AS MANY LOUISA RESIDENTS ARRESTED IN BORDERING COUNTIES AS THERE WERE THE ARREST TOTALS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY IN THE PAST WEEK. ALSO, LOUISA MAN PICKED UP ON DRUG CHARGE INDICTMENT ARRESTED 3 DAYS LATER AND REMAINS JAILED ON SINGLE MOTOR TRAFFIC INFRACTION.

In the past 7 period of 12:01 A.M. July 17, 2019, thru to 11:59 P.M. July 23, 2019; there were at least 82 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 82, 9 of those arrested were from Lawrence County

Another 7 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 3 in Martin County, 2 in Johnson County, and 2 in Boyd County).

That is in comparison to the previous past 7 period of 12:01 A.M. July 10,2019, thru to 11:59 P.M. July 16, 2019; there were at least 66 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 71, 13 of those arrested were from Lawrence County ( with 2 of those served indictment warrants while still being currently lodged at the BSRDC ). Another 5 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring and other Ky. counties ( 1 in Martin County, 1 in Greenup County, 1 in Whitley County, and 2 who were first arrested in Lawrence County, and were later transferred to Boyd County).

There were 236 inmates lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center as of 8:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 24. The maximum designated number of inmates the BSRDC was built to hold is 225. On the previous day, Tuesday, July 23, there was swing in the number of inmates lodged at any given time, starting at 241 at sunrise, with the numbers going down to 230 by near midnight.

The names & criminal charges of the latest 9 Lawrence County arrests, as well as the 7 Lawrence County residents who were arrested in other Kentucky counties jurisdictions:

 

Tonetta J. Stepp, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on July 17, 2019, at 10:43 P.M., by deputy Michael Housinger, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE.

Ryan A. Redden, 28, of Prichard, West Virginia; was arrested on July 18, 2019, at 3:39 A.M., by patrolman officer Shane James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.

Justin Lee Hager, 32, of Saint Albans, West Virginia; was arrested on July 18, 2019, at 3:38 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS UNDER/$500,

• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000.

 

Benjamin P. Accord, 48, of Louisa, was arrested on July 19, 2019, at 10:54 A.M., by deputy Chase Kirk, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment: • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE.

Mr. Accord had been arrested on July 16, 2019, at 12:28 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (<10 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 1 & 2),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Carly D. Skeens, 20, of Prichard, West Virginia; was arrested on July 19, 2019, at 4:08 P.M.,by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

Cody Frazier, 25, of Louisa, was arrested on July 19, 2019, at 4:11 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• RECKLESS DRIVING,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/ POSSESS,

• CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF FORGED INSTRUMENT 2ND DEGREE(IDENTIFY).

 

Crystal Dawn Brown, 34, of Genoa, West Virginia; was arrested on July 20, 2019, at 5:01 A.M., by patrolman officer Julius Musick, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:

• FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.

 

Dustin L. Fyffe, 30, of Blaine, Kentucky; was arrested on July 21, 2019, at 11:23 P.M., by constable Daniel Castle, of the Lawrence County Constable Office-District 4, and was charged with: CHARGES UNKNOWN.

 

Matthew Salyers, 31, of Columbus. Ohio; was arrested on July 22, 2019, at 11:56 A.M., by court security officer Charlie Curnutte, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictment:

• RAPE, 1ST DEGREE.

Prince Mark Stevens, 27, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on July 16, 2019, at 4:39 P.M., by an officer of the Catlettsburg Police Department, and was charged with, via a grand jury indictments in Lawrence County, on three felony charges:

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE,1ST DEGREE,1ST OFFENSE – (< 10 D.U. OPIATES),

•TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Prince Stevens bail bond was set at $10,000 full cash only for each of the three felony charges, for a total of $30,000.

Prince Stevens was transferred from the Boyd County Detention Center in Catlettsburg, to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, and was booked on July 17, at 12:47 P.M., on the Lawrence County indictment charges.

Prince Stevens has since posted his bail bond and has been released from the BSRDC.

 

Christina R. Salyers-Johnson, 36, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County on July 19, 2019,at 2:45 P.M., by a deputy of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500,

• CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE.

 

Brianna Paige Osborne, 26, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County on July 20,2019,at 2:20 A.M.,by Sheriff John H. Kirk of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 10 D.U. OPIATES).

 

Lowell Justin Maynard, 30, of Louisa, was arrested in Martin County, on July 20, 2019, at 3:03 A.M., by Sheriff John H. Kirk of the Martin County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:

• RECKLESS DRIVING,

• SPEEDING 25 MPH OVER LIMIT,

• DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE,

• FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 2ND OFFENSE.

 

 

Ronald Lee Ward, 39, of Louisa, was arrested in Johnson County on July 20, 2019, at 1:07 A.M., by patrolman officer Zachary Stapleton, of the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with:

• SERVING WARRANT (FOR OTHER POLICE AGENCY),

• SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

Arthur Albin Holbrook, 36 of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on July 21, 2019, at 3:35 A.M., by patrolman officer Corey D. Bradley of the Catlettsburg Police Department, and was charged with:

• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER,

• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.

Arthur Holbrook was ordered to ‘pay or stay’ on the Contempt of Court charge, for $273.00 cash bond to be released and on the DUI charge, Holbrook’s bail bond was set at $1,500 full cash only.

 

Joseph Conrad Burgess, 52, of Louisa, was arrested in Johnson County on July 22, 2019, at 3:55 P.M., by deputy Jesse Castle, of the Johnson County Department, and was charged with:

• FAILURE TO APPEAR.
