BLAINE, KY. — A fugitive wanted in two states was arrested on the right fork of Laurel in Blaine last night (Monday).

Darin Conley (AKA Candy Jesus) of  Hicksville, Ohio was arrested by Constable Daniel Castle for

  • drug trafficking,
  • possession of drug paraphernalia,
  •  possession of a controlled substance,
  • tampering with physical evidence,
  • identity theft
  •  two out of state fugitive warrants.

Conley attempted to elude identification by using ID of a dead man from Kentucky. Assisting was deputy Dwayne Bowen of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

Glad to see something being done even if is by constable. It sure is sad times when a constable is assisted by a certified deputy instead of the deputy putting in the effort. Seeing a lot of this lately. Then again I believe that deputy hasn’t done much in a long time.

Castle is doing his part for sure! He’ll be sheriff someday.

He is out doing stuff but don’t bet on him being sheriff. For every person he arrests he is making their family mad. Lawrence County already proved they don’t want law enforcement officers doing their job. In the end they just want a buddy not a sheriff.

I agree with that. If LC wanted a real sheriff and not a buddy, Mark Wheeler would be sheriff right now.

I agree 100% Mark Wheeler should have been sheriff.
Wish you could vote people out. Eh, a miracle could happen!

Anyone else wondering why Constables are out doing more than the deputies? A lot of stories are saying assisted lately instead of the work be done by the deputies.

Hey ill finish this story. Defendant was sentenced to pre-trial diversion and placed on probation for 5 years. All other charges were dropped.

It has to be frustrating to the cops when they put their lives on the line making arrests and then the “honorable” judge puts the scum bags right back on the street.

I’ve got an idea! Why don’t we all get on here and gripe and complain about everything the constables and Sheriff’s office does! Good grief!

Welcome to Commonwealth of Kentucky! – they make their own rules up as they go.
