Fort Gay, W. Va. — For the 17th year boys and girls descended on Rebel Arena at Tolsia High School for two days for one of the best basketball camps around the Rebel Pride Camp as 50 youngsters learned from the staffs of from both high school basketball teams and current players as well as former Rebels and Lady Rebels.

Rebel Pride Campers were all smiles after receiving awards

This is a wonderful celebration on community and the game of basketball. The Tolsia community and surrounding areas have come together again to support this camp. The campers learn to take pride in their selves , families and community through the love of basketball .

The campers went thru several different stations throughout the camp that ran from 9:00 am to Noon including ball handling, shooting, defense and passing.

Campers listening to opening instructions from Coaches Ric Morrone, Todd Maynard and Kevin Salmons.

Lady Rebel Head Coach Ric Morrone

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… I want to thank Tolsia High, all the awesome coaches, players and volunteers that work the camp each year.  The kids had a great time , we had close to 50 campers this year. A special thanks to my co-director Coach Todd Maynard and his staff for their help with the camp. It truly is a team effort.”
