Miss Kentucky 2019 crowned in Louisville

A new Miss Kentucky was crowned Saturday night in Louisville.

Alex Francke, of Lexington, donned the crown at the Miss Kentucky 2019 competition at the Brown Theater.

Francke succeeds Katie Bouchard of Owensboro, Miss Kentucky 2018. Francke was first-runner up in the 2018 competition.

She’s also held the titles of Miss Lexington and Miss UK and is a recent University of Kentucky graduate.

Landry Feldmeier was crowned Miss Outstanding Teen Kentucky.

The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization is affiliated with the Miss America Organization. The competition is an official state-level preliminary for the national competition.

According to its website, the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization is a nonprofit “devoted to empowering the women of Kentucky to achieve their personal and professional goals.”
