1ST ANNUAL GENOA BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL 2019 AT RUSTIC RAVINES

Diamond Ridge Boys was one of the favorite acts at the festival.

Genoa Bluegrass Festival of 2019 is the first weekend in June hosted by Rustic Ravines. This past weekend was a wonderful family experience with music, food, vendors, games, ATV and cabin rentals.

Rustic Ravines is a resort for fun with over 300 acres there’s something for everyone at Hampton Ridge Road in Wayne County.

Economic Developer of The Year, Joe Boffo has continued to build and grow the resort quickly as its becoming a favorite spot for locals and travelers. With a ½ mile zipline in the works there is also a saloon being built. Boffo commented on the festival, “Even though it’s been a lot of hard work I’m pleased with the turnout and expect it to only get larger.”

This year the Bluegrass Festival started with Diamond Ridge Boys followed by South Ridge and then featured “The Kevin Prater Band”. The fans listened and sang along with bluegrass music while others shopped vendor booths, played games such as Chicken Poo Bingo or rode ATV’S.

During “The Kevin Prater Band” performance a special needs child made a request to hear “Rocky Top” and we have the tribute video here for you to watch. (See Lazer video on Lazer Facebook page HERE))

Vendors were out in full force selling, volunteering or raising money for good causes.

Make your plans for next year to come check it out you won’t be disappointed.
