LADY BULLDOGS FINISH 6-0 IN 58TH DISTRICT ACTION

Louisa, Ky — The Lady Bulldogs wrapped up 58th District play undefeated after a hard fought 2-1 victory over Floyd Central ( 3-15 ) Tuesday evening at home.

Lawrence Co. improved to 17-7 overall but more importantly 6-0 in District action.

Kassidy Cavins throws to first to get the out at first as Kensley Feltner looks on.

Ashley Hayes drove in Kassidy Cavins to break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning and Alli Triplett closed it out in the seventh. Mackenzie Methax also picked up one hit in the victory.

Triplett finished with 11 strikeouts in the circle to pick up the win.

Lawrence Co. will travel to Johnson Central on Thursday before having the weekend off for the LCHS Prom.

“… This win locked up the #1 seed for the 58th District tournament. Allie Triplett pitched a great game to give us a chance to win and Ashley Hayes came up big with the game winning hit to drive Kassidy Cavins across the plate.”
